Payments

Held payments

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe and held until the poster confirms, or automatically after 48 hours.
• All payments for jobs found on Around Me must go through Around Me. Paying or asking to be paid outside the app is not allowed.
• If a job is cancelled before it starts, the poster gets a full refund.

How pricing works

• Jobs start at $15

Set your own price, or use our fair-price suggestion.

• Poster fee 15%

Minimum $3. Added on top of the job price.

• Student fee 5%

Students keep 95% of the job price.

• Tips: 100% to students

Every cent of a tip goes to the student.

Card processing (about 2.9% + 30¢) is added at checkout. Students are paid out once a week.
